Thanks to its peaceful nature and the warmth of its people, Puerto Vallarta is the ideal beachfront location for your next family vacations. Here are five Puerto Vallarta tips to help you make the most of your next trip to our beloved town on the Pacific.

#1 Enjoy some R&R at the beach

Puerto Vallarta Tips
Puerto Vallarta has some of the best beaches of the entire Mexican Pacific

Puerto Vallarta has a number of incredible beaches. They’re the perfect place to go and wind down from so much stress and work back home. A visit to our beaches is a reminder of what vacationing is really about in the first place: taking some time for yourself to sit back, relax and simply enjoy your incredible tropical surroundings.

Puerto Vallarta is home to a vibrant cultural scene that is as diverse as it is creative. From the intricate and highly symbolic artistic creations of the local indigenous Huicholes to elaborate handicrafts and skilled paintings, art and culture lovers will be fascinated by Puerto Vallarta’s wonderful art scene. Explore the markets and galleries on your own, or take a City Tour for a guided experience into the heart of Puerto Vallarta.

Las Marietas is one of the best places to snorkel or scuba dive in Mexico

Take a short boat ride out to the Marieta Islands and experience a one-of-a-kind aquatic experience. The tour will take you kayaking and snorkeling at this impressive nature preserve teeming with marine life. If you’re lucky, you’ll have the opportunity to observe sea turtles, wild dolphins, manta rayas and many other species in a naturally protected environment. In 2008 the UNESCO declared this national park to be a Biosphere Reserve and it is well worth the visit.

As a tropical paradise on Mexico’s Pacific Coast, Puerto Vallarta excels at producing incredible seafood. On your next visit to Puerto Vallarta, make sure you get a taste of the emblematic “pescados embarazados” or fish on a stick. You also have to try the seafood tostadas, which are just as fresh as they are delicious. Go local. You won’t regret it.
