Riu Montego Bay: my own family experience
Another terrific resort is the Riu Montego Bay, where my family and I had a great experience. The hotel is less than 10 minutes from the airport, with two shopping malls across the street. We felt very welcomed by the staff with their beautiful smiles. Check-in was smooth and we were given one spacious triple room with a wonderful view of the beautiful gardens. Our room was equipped with coffee maker, hairdryer, fully stocked mini bar, satellite television, iron and board, electronic safe and a bathroom with a hydro massage tub. The food was delicious and the service at the restaurants was great. My son spent most of his days in the large swimming pool and didn’t even have to leave the pool to get a soda, as the swim up bar was right there. He also enjoyed the kids’ club with its daily organized activities. Every evening after dinner we would always head straight to the show area next to the lobby bar. It was awesome, especially the Michael Jackson Show, which is second to none. We could never get enough of Riu’s entertainment. After the show my son always wanted to go to the sports bar, where we got late night snacks (sandwich, popcorn, hot dog, nacho & cheese etc.). We had a wonderful time and would go back in a heartbeat.
