One of the best experiences I’ve had in Cozumel is swimming with stingrays. At first, I was not sure about taking the tour. I even told the rep who recommended the activity that I didn’t want to put my family in any kind of danger. But after the rep assured me it was totally safe (the rays have no stings!) and seeing the great reviews the tour has, I said why not! And had a blast!!
My family and I had the best of times feeding the marvelous stingrays. My kids were super excited about holding them and petting them and the picture they got from the tour is just perfect.
I have to say that after swimming with stingrays, my love of marine life has increased. It gives you a certain understanding you don’t get by watching National Geographic! I cannot wait to do another experience like this, if not this very tour once more. The rep who first told me about it really knew what he was talking about! It may sound odd, but I am thankful that he helped me get rid of my fears about swimming with stingrays. They’re such lovely animals!
The best thing is that petting, holding, and getting your photo taken with the stingrays is not all. Afterwards you get to snorkel in a shallow area with many more stingrays plus colorful fish! Just great.
The beach club also offers some water toys that entertained my kids for a while longer. I could get pictures of my family holding other local animals, like an iguana. And in the end, the kids even had fun with a hermit crab race!
My son is always asking me to come back to the stingray place. It really is a great experience for the whole family. I strongly recommend it!
