Have you ever imagined riding a camel? In the sand dunes, at the beach, in Mexico?! The Camel Safari Tour in Los Cabos is an unforgettable experience which starts from Rancho San Cristobal by the Migriño beach, 30 min. from Cabo San Lucas; a unique and very well conserved, protected natural area.
The Camel Safari Tour in Los Cabos started when our group arrived at the ranch. Everyone was welcomed by the whole staff and the tour guides. We boarded the open off-road Unimog 4×4 vehicles. A funny guy and experienced tour guide explained us about the land, wildlife and desert vegetation. After a while, we got off the 4×4 vehicles. During a relaxed walk, we had the chance to take a close look at all kind of cactus and other interesting desert plants that grow in the area.
We boarded again the 4×4’s until we reached the beach where the camels are kept and trained. We were marveled at the beautiful surroundings – the desert and the endless, natural beach. Here we were received by an interesting tall man with a pleasant smile, who told us he used to belong to a Sioux nomad tribe, and now was in charge of training and taking care of the camels. We were introduced to the camels and learning about them before we finally took a nice ride along the beach. Indeed, a very special and fantastic experience to overlook a Mexican desert and sea from the back of a camel!
After this unique experience that left all of us in euphoria, we rode back to the ranch. It was time to enjoy a delicious homemade Mexican meal with handmade corn tortillas and Nopales- cactus. The meal was finalized with Tequila tasting and learning how to drink Tequila properly! Camel Safari is without any doubt one of the richest experiences you can have in Los Cabos because you get in contact with nature in such a unique way and get so many overwhelming impressions.
