There are many important destination wedding ideas for both brides and wedding planners. One such jewel has to do with the floral arrangements, which if done right can make the difference between average and extraordinary. Recently, Amstar Weddings got a chance to learn from the best with the Karen Tran Floral Experience.
At the beginning of March, Amstar Weddings had the honor of participating in the Master Floral Class led by the widely-acclaimed and highly talented Karen Tran.
Held at the Secret Jewel Celebration Venue, located in the heart of the Riviera Maya, Tran led this very insightful Karen Tran Floral Experience focused on destination wedding ideas involving the creation of spectacular floral arrangements for luxury weddings and events.
The Master Floral Class lasted three days, with each day dedicated to a new topic.
On Day 1, we discussed the best colors and blooms for each arrangement, and how to create a signature look that is both glamorous and romantic for today’s brides.
Day 2 focused on designing extravagant tablescabes using custom linens, fine chine and exquisite florals. It was an amazing experience learning such beautiful new techniques to make the table experience that much more a special aspect of any wedding or event.
The last day of the training session highlighted perhaps one of the most challenging aspects of floral arrangements at weddings: designing a lush and striking altar décor. Here we learned the ins-and-outs of everything from selecting fabrics to the mechanics of design as well as what to look for in large scale floral pieces and ceremony setups.
