5 Reasons to Brave the High Seas on the Punta Cana Pirate Tour

Luicewil Ramirez, Amstar’s wooden-legged data geek & toy sword collector is back with five swashbuckling reasons to brave the Punta Cana pirate tour.

From the music and lighting to the choreography and costumes, everything felt just right on this Punta Cana pirate tour

I recently had the privilege of taking my family to visit the brave and daring pirates of the Caribbean Buccaneers Tour in Punta Cana and had a wonderful experience. I felt like a kid again as I watched the pirates fly around the ship, making jokes, insulting one another and flinging their swords as they battled it out for control of the ship. But then I was brought back to reality and reminded that I was an adult when served with a delicious lobster dinner.

Here are my five reasons why I really recommend you go on this pirate adventure in Punta Cana.

1) Lights, Camera, Action

The entire scenery, staging and costumes are incredible. You can really tell that a lot of thought and effort went into creating a true pirate ship and village. Plus the decoration, the music, the acting, it’s all great.

2) Fun & Safe for the Entire Family

I went to see the show with my two little daughters and, with all of the sword fighting and action going on all around, I have to admit I was a little worried that it might be dangerous for them.  I am happy to say that the staff is very responsible and attentive, so much so that I soon realized that my fears had no basis in reality.

3) Being a Kid All Over

Being on the ship and heading out to sea is amazing. I really did feel like a little kid again and was probably just as excited as the younger guests in the audience. At times, as the pirate ship cruised in front of the Dominican Republic‘s Bavaro/Punta Cana coastline, it even felt like I was at the filming of some important pirate movie!

4) Crustacean Heaven

The ship took us out to a sort of platform out on the sea where we disembarked for a delicious pirate dinner. There were several options to choose from, but I of course chose a dish worthy of only the most legendary of pirate captains: a succulent lobster tail served with baked potato and steamed corn!

5) An Epic Battle Between Good & Evil

The final act of this fun pirate show took place on the platform. It is here where our pirate captain duels it out with his archenemy, El Diablo, for control over the treasure map. While I won’t tell you how the story ended, I can confess that we made it home safe, happy and thrilled by our experience.

I definitely recommend this tour on your next visit to Punta Cana. It’s a lot of fun and very family-friendly!
