Huatulco is one of the few places on earth where you can watch the big white ball that is the full moon rise into sky on one side of the bay while watching a picturesque sunset on the other side of the bay.

Something new and exciting to do in Huatulco during a full moon is the Full Moon Rafting tour. Your experienced guide will take you down the Copalita River under the light of the moon. At the end of the river, where it joins to Pacific Ocean, you will set up a bonfire on the beach while snacking on canapés and sipping a glass of wine. What could be a more perfect evening for the adventurous ones?

Sunsets can been quite an amazing event in Huatulco although you have to go out into the ocean to actually watch the spectacular moment that lasts only a few minutes. The best time to see the sunset in Huatulco is from December to March. A leisurely sunset cruise can take you out to sea to watch the big red ball fall below the Sierra Madre Mountains. Not to be missed!!

From the main beach in the hotel zone (Tangolunda Bay) you may watch the beautiful sunrise, take a dip in the warm Pacific Ocean or go for an early morning walk on the beach.
